What is a Neurologic Physical Therapist?

ABI RESOURCES team members take directives from Neurological Physical Therapists. A Neurologic Physical Therapist is a physical therapist who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with movement problems due to injury or disease of the nervous system. They have experience working with brain injuries and may work exclusively with survivors. Neurologic Physical Therapists work and communicate with the team and many treatment specialists to improve or restore the mobility needed to live independently. A Neurologic Physical Therapist understands that brain injury treatment may need to be consistent and can last years.
